**IgAnony** was one of the best-known anonymous Instagram story viewers, and people still search for it about 110,000 times a month in the US. If it isn’t loading for you, you’re not alone. Here’s what we found when we checked every IgAnony domain, and what to use instead.

*How we checked:* on October 16, 2026 we requested each domain’s homepage the way a desktop browser does and recorded what came back. These are the same IgAnony domains we tested in our [October 14 check of 47 story viewers](https://klupt.io/blog/instagram-story-viewer-sites-that-still-work), and their results hadn’t changed.

## Quick answer

| Domain | Result (October 16, 2026) |
| --- | --- |
| iganony.com | ❌ No response |
| iganony.io | ❌ No response |
| iganony.net | ⚠️ Bot-check page (“Performing security verification”) |
| iganon.com (IgAnon, a different name) | ❌ No response |
| anonyig.com (AnonyIG, a different site) | ✅ Loads |

So the **original IgAnony is offline**. The domain that now ranks first for the name, **iganony.net**, didn’t show us the viewer at all: it answered with a security check page, even in a normal browser.

## What happened to IgAnony?

Nobody behind IgAnony has said anything publicly that we could find, so we can only describe what we see. The pattern is common in this space: free story viewers are expensive to run, Instagram keeps blocking the servers they use, and when a site goes down its name is often picked up by a new domain.

That’s why **iganony.net** should be treated as a **separate site** until proven otherwise. It may be fine. But we found nothing showing it’s run by the same people as the original, and a familiar name is exactly what copycats rely on.

## IgAnony, AnonyIG and IgAnon are three different names

They’re easy to mix up:

- **IgAnony** — the original viewer at iganony.com, now offline.
- **AnonyIG** — a different site at anonyig.com that loads normally. It even has a page titled “IgAnony” on its own domain, which is probably why searches get crossed.
- **IgAnon** — another separate name at iganon.com, also not responding.

If you meant AnonyIG, it’s up. If you meant IgAnony, the original isn’t coming back on its old address for now.

## Is IgAnony safe?

The original is offline, so the real question is whether whatever you find under that name is safe. Use these checks:

1. **Never enter your Instagram password.** Not to “verify”, not to “unlock”. That’s how accounts get stolen.
2. **Private accounts don’t work.** Instagram only shows private Stories to approved followers. A site that promises private Stories is lying. [Why](https://klupt.io/blog/how-to-view-private-instagram-account)
3. **Install nothing.** An APK or browser extension “to see more” is a red flag.
4. **No surveys or offers before the content.** If the Stories are behind a gift-card offer, they aren’t coming.
5. **Check the address.** Look-alike domains are everywhere when a popular site goes down.

## What still works instead of IgAnony

Free viewers that loaded on October 16, 2026:

- **Mollygram** (mollygram.com): stories, highlights, reels and photos from public profiles, free with ads. [Our Mollygram review](https://klupt.io/blog/mollygram-review).
- **AnonyIG** (anonyig.com): says it’s free, needs no login and has no daily limits.
- **StoriesIG** (storiesig.info): stories, highlights and reels. Note that several different sites use the StoriesIG name.

All of these work the same way IgAnony did: public profiles only, no login, and they can go offline the same way.

**If you want something that stays up**, Klupt is a paid alternative: an [anonymous story viewer](https://klupt.io/stories) and [highlight viewer](https://klupt.io/instagram-highlights-viewer) with no ads, plus the thing free viewers can’t do, which is **tracking an account over time**. Klupt saves a snapshot of a public profile’s follows and followers, checks every hour, and sends you a Telegram message when it [follows someone new](https://klupt.io/recently-followed).

## Will they know you watched their Story?

Not with a server-side viewer like these. You only appear in someone’s viewer list when you watch from your own Instagram account. And [screenshots don’t notify anyone](https://klupt.io/blog/does-instagram-notify-when-you-screenshot-a-story) either.
