Why you can’t see recent follows on Instagram normally
Instagram's default order is relevance-based rather than chronological. A new follow can appear anywhere among older accounts, and the same list can look different to different viewers. Only the account owner gets Instagram's date-followed sorting controls, so manual scrolling is not a reliable way to reconstruct someone else's follow history.

Recent follows vs recent followers — both matter
Klupt tracks both directions. New following entries show accounts newly detected in the profile's following snapshot. New followers show accounts newly detected in its follower snapshot. A missing account may represent an unfollow, block, deletion, or deactivation, so the timeline reports the observed change without pretending to know the cause.
