The Ick (theick.io) vs Klupt: Honest Comparison (2026)
Theick.io vs Klupt, compared from both products' public pages. Same snapshot method and hourly checks; The Ick has an Android app and push alerts, Klupt has Telegram alerts, a story viewer, a browser extension and a cheaper weekly plan.
The Ick (theick.io) and Klupt do the same core job: you enter a public Instagram username, the tool saves who they follow, and it tells you about every new follow from that moment on. They even use the same honest method. So the choice comes down to the details: how you get alerts, what else is included, and price.
How we compared: we read The Ick's homepage and pricing page in October 2026 and compared them with our own product. If something changed since, tell us and we'll fix it.
Not to be confused with Katch the Ick, which is Klupt's own free browser extension. The Ick (theick.io) is a different company.
The short answer
- Choose The Ick if you want a native Android app with push notifications.

What they have in common
This part matters more than any feature list. Both tools are honest about the one thing Instagram doesn't allow: nobody can show you when someone followed an account before tracking started. Instagram doesn't share follow dates for other people's lists. The Ick says this on its homepage, and so do we.
So with both tools, the timeline starts on day one. Old follows are listed without dates; every new one after that gets the time it was detected. If a site promises a full dated history of someone's past follows, be careful. Why that's impossible.
Where The Ick is stronger
- Android app. If you live on your Android phone and prefer app push notifications over a chat app, that's a real plus.
- Yearly price. At $34.99 a year it is a little cheaper than Klupt's $39.99 yearly plan.
Where Klupt is stronger
1. Alerts in Telegram, on any phone
Klupt sends each new follow as a Telegram message. That works the same on iPhone, Android and desktop, and you don't need to install another app that shows up on your home screen. How Telegram alerts work.
2. Much cheaper if you only need it for a week or a month
Many people only want to check something for a short time. Klupt's weekly plan is $3.99 against The Ick's $8.99, and Klupt has a $9.99 monthly plan, which The Ick doesn't offer.
3. An anonymous story viewer is included
Premium includes a story viewer for public profiles, so you can see their Stories without appearing in the viewer list.
4. A browser extension for private accounts you follow
Web trackers, both of these included, can only see public accounts. Klupt's free Katch the Ick extension runs inside your own logged-in browser, so it can also snapshot a private account you already follow. It doesn't bypass privacy; it only sees what your account can see.
The bottom line
The Ick and Klupt are honest tools built on the same idea. Pick The Ick for the Android app. Pick Klupt for Telegram alerts, a cheaper short-term plan, the story viewer and the extension.
