How to view comments on an Instagram post
- Copy the link of a public post or reel (⋯ → Copy link).
- Paste it above and tap See the comments.
- Use the search box to find a username or a word, and Load more for older comments.
Search comments by name or word
Instagram has no comment search. Here you can type a username to check whether someone commented, or a word to find every comment that mentions it, across all the pages you’ve loaded.
What you see
Each comment shows who wrote it, when, and how many likes and replies it has. Private accounts don’t work, and comments the owner deleted or hid aren’t returned by Instagram.
Want to see someone’s comments everywhere?
Instagram doesn’t keep a public list of all the comments one person has written, so no tool can show that honestly. You can only check post by post. More in what you can and can’t see about someone’s activity.
