Privacy Policy for the App

This policy explains how the Katch the Ick app for iPhone and iPad handles your data. It covers the app and its Safari extension. It does not cover other products.

In short: we do not collect your data. The app has no account, no ads, and no trackers. Everything you see runs on your device, using your own Instagram login in Safari.

What the app does

The app adds a Safari extension. When you open an Instagram profile in Safari, the extension reads that profile's followers and following, in order, and shows them to you. It uses the Instagram session you are already logged into. This happens on your device.

Data we collect

None. We do not collect, store, or send your data to our servers. We do not use analytics tools, advertising, or tracking of any kind.

• No name, email, or account is needed to use the app.
• We do not receive the profiles you look at or their followers.
• We never see or store your Instagram password.

Instagram data the app reads

When you use the extension, it calls Instagram's own web interface from your device, using your existing Instagram session. It reads the follower and following lists, such as username, display name, profile picture, and the public verified or private label. It shows this to you and nothing more.

• This data is read on your device and shown only to you.
• It is never sent to our servers, never stored by us, and never sold.
• The app can only see what your own Instagram account is allowed to see.

Stored on your device

The extension may keep a small setting in Safari's local storage on your device, so it can remember simple preferences. This stays on your device. Removing the app removes it.

Payments

Katch the Ick is a paid app on the App Store. Apple handles the payment. We do not receive your card details. Apple's privacy policy applies to the purchase.

Permissions we request and why

• Access to instagram.com so the extension can read the follower and following lists using your own login.
• Access to Instagram's image servers so it can show profile pictures.

What we do not do

• We do not sell or rent your data.
• We do not run ads or ad tracking.
• We do not collect your browsing history.
• We do not store your Instagram followers or following on our servers.

Children

The app is not made for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy. If we make an important change, we will update the date at the top of this page.
